Hi everyone, first time poster.
I have a Gigabyte GA-7VAXP which started having the bad caps problem in mid 2006. After I found out about the disease, I fixed at at a local shop and worked again.
So I used it for a few months, and the problem re-appeared. The mobo died again.. I guess it can't handle heavy usage anymore. I am now looking to get a new machine (this one I got 5 years ago)...
However, my old machine is actually only missing a mobo, and I could use a secondary machine... So I began looking for a replacement mobo. I found the Asus A7V8X which I can get brand new (or so the seller claims) for $25. Not too bad to revive an old machine...
So is this mobo free of the bad caps problem? It's not the A78X-X or A78X-LA, just A78X.
Let me know your thoughts!
