I want to replace all caps in 2005FPW power board. There are three capacitors, C214 (10uF/50V 105°C), C215(47uF/50V 105°C) and C217(22uF/50V 105°C), all SAMXON brand, color dark violet, almost black. The only marks other than the above ratings are "8 U5A" after the 105°C. Any idea what series they may be or what a good replacement could be ?

Re: Identiying SAMXON caps series
I think they will fit. Have to check if Mouser carries them, but if not, having those parts numbers should allow me to find similar ones in what they carry. I am trying to stay with Mouser because is where I have found the rest of the capacitors.
Thank you for your answer.

Re: Identiying SAMXON caps series
Those are Samxon "SS" series.
Here is the datasheet, courtesy of BadCaps member "Uranium-235":
http://www.paullinebarger.net/DS/Sam...S%20Series.pdf"We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! We gave them technology, the latest, the kind even Vietnam didn't have. They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."

Re: Identiying SAMXON caps series
I know. It occured to me after I posted.
The best thing to do would be to go through the Samxon directory over at Uranium-235's FTP, and see which one matches:
