    Samsung LN40A550P3FXZA Capacitor C133 Question

With info found on this forum, I was able to repair my Samsung LCD TV Power Cycling, Screeching High Pitched Noise Buzzing and Bad Picture. Instant success - thanks!

The capacitors C102 and C131 were replaced at a local Make It Lab Hacker Night. My thanks to those folks! However, in the process of replacing C131, the capacitor C133 right next to C131 was knocked off. Even without C133 on the circuit board, the TV now works fine. Ditto for laptop, iPhone, DVD and VCR player hookup.

What does C133 do, and how important is it that I now replace it?

    Thanks,
    JD

Well… that was a long time ago… I should be quiet, because I also got a B series still running. Take a picture and upload it here using the attachment function.

Capacitor C133: I have no idea what size microfarads or ? this capacitor is.

What does C133 do, and how important is it that I now replace it?

      3 pictures attached: See Picture 3 1st.

Picture 3 - Samsung TV board with C131 that I replaced in upper left corner (NEu AS7). Directly above it is C133, the mystery capacitor. In the picture, C133 is silver with a brown stripe in the center.
Pictures 1,2 - C102 and C131 (both NEu AS7), and C133 that was knocked off next to it. Just to get an idea of its size.

I think someone else did the same thing. Knocked off c133 for some reason or other. Apparently the TV actually ran without it. As for what the ratings on that capacitor was: probably nothing much. Go to a junk board and stick a cap in it that fits if it makes you feel better. You can narrow the actual voltage and capacitance rating “range” down by measuring the length, width and height of the old SMT capacitor. Is that cap critical? Nope, probably a bypass cap. It's too small for anything else.
