where can i get this capacitor ?

    hi everyone

im trying to fix xbox 360 but under the board from gpu is on top but bottom of the board the picture is not mine i copied it.
    they look like this.

that capacitor is microcapacitor very small capacitor

Those are surface mounted capacitors, which come in standard sizes. The names for those sizes are 0805 , 0603 , 0402 and so on ... the ones on the xbox are probably 0402 or 0603.

The names are derived from the length and width of the capacitor, you can measure the capacitors you have already on the board and can determine the standard size based on that.

Those capacitors should be about 0.01uF, 0.1uF, 0.047 uF... most likely the first value but you would have to measure the capacitors around just to be sure.

Digikey has these capacitors, Mouser has them, RS-Components have them ... Digikey and Mouser should be the the better choices for you.

    See Digikey: http://www.digikey.com/product-searc...acitors/131083

From temperature coefficient, you should only choose COG/NPO , X7R, X5R ... the others aren't suitable.
From voltage, you should choose at least 16v, but ideally 35v-100v
Then choose the capacitance and sort by sizes (width, length etc)

Those ceramic caps are for decoupling Vcc noise on GPU. If you have 1 or 2 broken, it's nothing critical. I've sen "techs" knock them out a million times. Never seen it affect operation unless the cap shorts Vcc to ground - in which case you will likely get a power-related or no GPU secondary code.

If your Xbox 360 is not working, it is HIGHLY likely something else is the cause.

hello, i am very new to laptop repair and generell electronics

        i have a HP Spectre X360 Convertible 13 - ap0016ng
        motherboard number DA0X36MBAE0 REV E

massive burned and shortet mosfets. after removing them still shortet in the i think "main power rail"

found a shorted capacitor. removed it and the short is gone.

i want to try a crazy repair which is hard because the mosfets are like welded on one side to the track. is there a method to get this loose ?

in this area another capacitor was shortet.

        RTX 3080 FE Identifying capacitor
        by Prolog
Hi people, I hope this is the correct spot to post this, I'm new to the forum.

I have an RTX 3080 Founders Edition which has a burnt up capacitor (it was in parallel with another capacitor which appears damaged too), so I am hoping to be able to identify the capacitor values and order replacements.

I hope these photos make it clear which component I am referring to:
(yes, the soldering is a bit botched from removing the blown one, I know)

I have found the board schematic (attached), but there does not seem to be a boardview available. I have never...

Xbox 360 Xenon Modern Capacitor Replacements
        by burom
I found my old Xbox 360 in storage and opened it up to see if there was anything that broke since it was built in 2006 (launch era Xenon revision, never red ringed, never been serviced) and didn't want to find out by releasing magic smoke. Upon moving the dust bunnies out of the way I was greeted by a bunch of capacitors with crud coming out of the top; it doesn't seem to have leaked onto the board so at least I have that going for me.

I'm posting here because I want to try to source replacement caps myself from Mouser or Digikey instead of braving eBay or waiting for places to have...

Replacing capacitor in Original Xbox Foxlink Power Supply
        by cybernet3000
        Hello all,

Got a bit of a noob question - I have an original XBox revision 1.0 with a Foxlink FTPS-0001 Rev B psu. I've already removed the infamous clock capacitor and I'm planning on replacing the caps around the big heat sink (Thanks to everyone who contributed to that massive thread for pointing me in the right direction) but I also noticed on the PSU there's one large cap that seems to be bulging a little. It is cap C19 and from my googling I've been able to determine it's a 2200 uF 10 V capacitor.

        My questions are:
        1) Can I just replace this with any...

If I replace with inferior capacitor, Is it No harm to other IC components at all?
        by chth96
I replaced some capacitor which is located on optical pickup pcb which is shown in the table below(PCB #2).Because it have been out of order.
Now,It works very well,But I just have found that all caps (6svpc100my and other part number as well) ,which is shown in the table below, has ultra-high ripple current spec.
It is not able to obtain any capacitor which can be a substitute for this ultra-high ripple current nichicon capacitor.
So I replaced it with samxon and rubycon's general capacitor(GP,YXA series).
I know that these capacitor will not last as long as nichicon capacitor...
