question about the popular 3300 uf 6.3v

Hi, almost all motherboards use 3300/6.3v caps, if i want to change the caps to polymer solid caps is it possible? I've never seen any solid cap above 2200 uf.

At waifong there are 2700uF oscons @2.5v abailiable. But i would be cautiouse in lowering the capacitance. I have done this on a Asrock K7sxe, as i werent able to source some good 3300uF caps. But in comparison to most other 2 phase socket A boards, this board has not mutch excess capazitance (it`s a budget ones, even it is a great board) In other words, the 4x 3300uF have had no room for reducing it further. Sadly, after recaping the board fried my poor Tbred slowly, probably due to high voltage spikes caused by poor transient regulation etc. (may be the tbred was dying due to its age, it was an 1700+ wich have had to bear 2000mhz right from the start over several years).
So, be carefull, if your board is not equiped with some more cap mounting places to compensate the loss. I would compare the board in question with other desings, to learn what uF value should be necessary to keep the control loop happy.
The only place, where i think lowering the capazitance would be ok is VRM input and the other places on the board.
