i am replacing the output caps on an lg 32lx2r-ze lcd tv on the power supply,14 in number,upon looking at the data sheet for the samxon km caps,i notice there are no esr ratings on there,can i assume these are general purpose caps??,and would panasonic fm caps be a good sub?,am a little concerned beacause of the esr may be too low for the pannies on there datasheet,but i have these in stock,so would be handy to put them in,any thoughts?

fixed so far...376 lg lcd tv's,24 onn tv;s,24 panasonic lcd,16 jvc lcd,12 marshall jcm800 amps,refurb of various disco equipment lighting,old style disco decks ,and a flymo!

please let us know if everything works ok if your tv gets fixed, as it will be and aid for anyone else having the same problem and wishing to fix it.it would save people clogging up this site with topics that are duplicated,and can be found easily using the search function.,and taking up valuable space.enjoy your fixed tv!,hopefully! -

Yes KM are GP.
Panny FC, Nichicon PW, Chemicon LXZ are more appropriate than FM.
Just make sure the new ones have at least as much Ripple as the KM.

thanks mr bonez,its strange to see gp caps on a psu,the build quality must be crap on this supply,most of the ones ive repaired even capxon have an esr spec,ive gone for the fc series,tho some of them mite be a little tight,but should go in,and the ripple on them are higher than the km's,i owe you a pintOriginally posted by PCBONEZ View Post
