How can I determine the type of CAP??

I have a bad capacitor in an MSI motherbaord. I have the numbers off of it and what might be the brand name, but looking at the catalog at Dig-Key I see there are dozens of types,Example;Aluminum Electrolytic, Axial Ceramic, Nobium Oxide, Specialty Polymer,etc...?? The cap I am needing is 6.3v 4700uf and it is about 7/8\" tall and 7/16\" Dia.. I believe I can read the name \"Pelon\" on it, but not certain, it's very small writing.
Well, any help on this would be appreciated!

You will want Aluminum Electrolytic, Radial leads, 105*c. Capacitor dimensions are measured in millimeters, and the caps you need will measure 12.5mm in diameter.

8th gen 13" HP Spectre X360 - Is there a MODS like utility to determine which chip is faulty?

Hi All,

We've got a 8th gen 13" Spectre X360 which seems to have faulty onboard memory. Windows was bluescreening with Memory_management errors. Running HPs built in memory test brings up memory errors, but it does not tell you which chip. Is there a MODS like program so you can determine this? Memory is on board unfortunately and don't really want to go order 8 chips and replace all 8 if I don't have to.

Lastly do you have to use the exact same chips, or can you use chips with the same specs but from other manufactures?

How to determine smps power rating

So, I have old smps NEC psu, who not work correctly... it has no label table of declaration, and I supose that is from some printer or so.
The output is 34v.
Switching element is STR16006
Mains caps are 2x 470uF/250v
Output caps is 10000uF/40v

I dont know a topology, only have interest to know in which way should determine power for what designed for....

Trying to determine a fault, not sure if the culprit is LM2574 pin 7 output is grounded

Anyone know how to determine RAM/SSD configuration on dead 820-01958?

I'm hoping to find a way to easily (and reliably) determine the RAM/SSD configuration of a dead board--in this case, an 820-01958.

I've checked all over the board for any configuration codes to compare to the schematic BOM info pages, but no luck. Chip markings not useful; I can pull some ROM dumps if anyone know which one may include configuration info. Maybe the T2 ROM? May try to compare RAM configuration resistors as on older 00165 boards, but hoping there's an easier way before doing that.

Curious if anyone may know this. Would be very helpful for us; thank you...

How to determine the value of an SMD Capacitor?

I have a motherboard with at least one blown capacitor. I found a boardview for the motherboard and installed open boardview hoping that might have the information I'm looking for, but if it does contain the information, I can't figure out how to view it.
