Samsung LED UE40D5000 - PSU faulty?

    Hey there!

I have a problem with my Samsung UE40D5000. Yesterday everything was fine, but today the TV wont start.

It seems there is a bootloop. Whenever I connect the TV to socket, the red light flashes and the Samsung logo appears for about 3 seconds (with no backlight).

Therefore I have measured the voltage outputs of psu. With mainboard and LED-Strips connected, every output is going up and down, not constant.

Without any load, the voltages at mainboard connector are stable (5.3V / 12.3V) but on the connector for LED-strips it is very unstable. There has to be 268V dc, but my dmm shows about 230-270V on the first blue line and only 190V, 120V and 30V at the other lines.

What do you think? What could cause this???

The psu is Samsung part. no. BN44-00473B.

I would guess LEDs faulty (open or shorted)on backlight, common to this and other LED models, repairable but not for the beginner as the set needs to be striped down to it bare bones

Yes you're right. 2 LEDs dead and one was desoldered but works. Now I wanna try to find new LEDs which fit.
I hope that the Osram Duris E5 series will work, ordered some pcs of P/N LUW JDSH.EC-FSFU-5E8G-L1N2.
