V5-573G upgrade from WXGA screen to WUXGA

So, I've got this laptop with a cracked screen and would like to order a new screen. Was thinking about upgrading it while I am at it.

There are already FullHD versions of this laptop so I know it's possible.
My question is, do I need to change the cable too or the current cable works with FullHD panel aswell?

This laptop uses eDP, not LVDS.

i guess it should work, however i don't know if the LCD pinout is the same for all manufacturers, have a look to the datasheet first.

eDP seems to have a standardized pinout, unlike LVDS.

Did some further research. Didn't find a 100% sure answer about my particular laptop nor its cable but similar Acer products didn't need cable replacement when upgrading.

So I think I will just order a new 15.6" eDP FullHD Matte IPS panel later.

Got the new screen. Works perfectly without changing cable.

Original HD screen was N156BGE-EA1 rev. C1

And well, I did not check what was actually written on the back of the FullHD screen but invoice says it's B156HAN01.2 (and it probably is)
