    A few people on the forum have recomended the suction cups they do seem a good idea too be honest on the larger lcd panels.

      not a bad idea

      That probably would've made things easier the last couple of times that I had to remove an LCD panel. As long as the suction cups can't damage the panel and don't cost too much, I'd consider picking some up for next time.

          I've got a pair of those. Used to remove the glass front off an iMac, I'd never thought to use for removing an LCD screen.

              They are cheap and recently a forum member gave full details of the ones he used.

                its a very informative video and and having the link makes it easier for us to copy into threads etc. i also find shop jimmy videos easy to understand too so ideal for hobbiest repairers etc.

                  Risk with Suction Cups

                  well this method had high risk if the Panel 2 years old or more, the way to hold it up with this Suction Cups Vacuum could release the under LCD layer and got air in.. , and i saw allot even at new TV when they got transport damage..
