Samsung 51" TV image issue(don't know model yet)

I have found this TV, with this image issue, but I don't know if I should buy it, or not.
I don't even know yet, if it's a plasma or LCD TV.
Judging by the size, it seems like it's a plasma.
What you guys are thinking, that could be, T-con?
Any input, it would be appreciated.

Just found out that is a plasma.

I would guess LCD - the large plasmas I have (50" Panasonic and 58" Samsung) have much sturdier mounts than that. Rather than a single pivot that attaches to the screen, as in your pic and typical of LCD, they both have two metal rods that slide into the frame of the TV and firmly bolt.

I stand corrected, both by your finding and just now saw a 60" 3D plasma with that same base.

I'm interested in the image problem, if it's repairable. The screen looks really shiny, like a glass surface.
        Here is another picture.

Modern plasma, bad panel or loose Y-buffer connectors.
