    Acer aspire 5536 black screen.

    Hello
    I have a strange problem with one acer aspire 5536. When I plugged it into power the leds are on. When I press the power button it seems to power on but I got a black screen.
    I reseat the memory and put a new one but nothing.
    If I leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then reset it it boots fine.
    If I leave it too cool down or try to start it the next day I have the same problem.
    I tried to reflow the gpu but I didnt make it.
    I have an smd rework station ct-850nd and flux amtech rma-223.
    Can you tell if I reflow the wrong chip or how to reflow it correctly?

    Reflow does not help at all. Try just reball or change the 216-0674026 for a new one. Use correct teperatures for lead or lead free chip.

      As I check your smd hot air station untill now I don't think you'll be able to repair that bga IC. You need to have more professional stuff for work like that, some IR or HA reworkstation with accurate temperature control and lower preheat.

        Is there any way that is this a bad cmos battery or capacitors?
        I saw two posts that said to change the cmos battery cause it maybe low on voltage and one in that says that maybe some capacitor that while the pc is working it charges and then it works.

          I suggest do a reball on that laptop. I had before 55xx series with black screen and after reball they worked great.

            ok for everyone having similar problem.
            I change the cmos battery and reflow the gpu and it works great.
            When I first reflowed the gpu it didnt wok but when I changed the cmos battery everything is working.

              Laptop Turn On but Black Screen and no VGA output.

              BIOS battery arround 0.5V.

              Changing BIOS battery didnt solve problem.

              Reflow AMD RADEON IGP 216-0674026. Laptop Turn On OK. This laptops definitely have problems with 216-0674026.
