It should be one of these models"X554UQ,UA,LI,LJ,LN,LD,LA,LP ...These are the X554 MODELS unless you gave that wrong ...something is not right.

i think this mainboard x554sj , but from bios backup get dmiinfo x555sj biosver .205...
At Asus website no bios update for x554sj... only x555sj

you right it should becheck from tag/label from bottom notebook, to makesure.

You can't go by bios somebody could have programmed the wrong bin file that could be your problem he needs to read sticker maybe under battery so we could start from the beginning.
