Gradient Bar on top of Samsung UN55D7000

I've seen this issue on here and other forums but no concrete resolution. I have a gradient bar on the top of my screen that started recently. Sometimes it doesn't start with that bar and everything looks fine but then it comes on and stays. The other problem is that the TV cycles on and off randomly. I'm quite certain that replacing the power board would resolve the power cycling, but what about the top bar? Both problems started at the same time so I don't know if that helps in diagnosing the problem. Any feedback is appreciated.

Can you take a picture of the back of the TV with the back off? To me this looks like an intermittent led failure
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Gonna have to agree, an LED failure is likely. Probably an open circuit LED, or if you're lucky, it will just be a cold solder joint or loose connector, but that's unlikely.
