    radial instead of axial

I am just recapping a vintage apricot pc and most of the caps are axial. I have tried to find the exact same caps but some times i have had to compromise like replacing a 47uf 10v cap with a 47uf 16v item instead. Sometimes its been impossible to find a certain value in axial and could only get radial types. Is it ok to use the radials instead and if so is there any particular way they should be oriented or mounted.

i bend the negative lead backwards and slip a bit of transparent heatshrink over the whole cap.
