A 3.3v power adapter\wall-wart could work, or maybe even a computer PSU, preferably a cheap one that won't care too much about driving a shorted load.

I need help deciding which board to buy

My board is 715G3269-1 (TQ9C8 ZK05201)


The following has the same board number but different bar code number and is missing an hdmi port It was not removed it was manufactured this way

I think either one will work

Sorry, but I don't know. Hopefully someone else can give better advice on which board would work.

Ok I replaced the main board and now I have the red led on

But the tv still does not turn on

Im guessing the main board is good since it turned the led on?

What else should I test?

I guess the power supply is bad or it is not getting the power up signal for some reason

Could also be a problem with power button itself or remote sensor (I assume you tried both?)

Could even be another faulty mainboard if it is 2nd hand.

Well the main board is good

I decided to disconnect the tcon from the main board
I pressed the power button and the red led turned to blue and after 5 seconds the panel flashed

So I disconnected the power cord reconnected the tcon cable to the main board
I connected the power cord pressed the power button the tv screen turned on

The bad news is that the panel is freaking cracked!

I thought I properly checked it but apparently I did not.
Luckily I spent 20 bucks on the set but I spent 50 on the main board

So I guess im going to list the parts on ebay and craigslist

Lesson learned
Next time I will do a better job of inspecting the panel
