    Samsung LN32B360C5DXZA Issues

    Hey guys/gals!

They say bad things happen in threes...this is definitely the case for my family. Fence broke due to a bad storm, TV is not working, and the dryer just died. Go figure...trying to be positive and was hoping for some advice on the TV. It worked earlier in the day just fine and has worked fine for a number of years now until tonight. When I went to turn it on tonight it turns on (red light blinks and I hear the normal sound it makes) and the screen glows but it was black. The only color is a thin line at the very bottom of the TV (all the way across horizontally). The line is super thin and it's hardly noticeable. Tried hitting the menu button on the TV and the remote and get nothing. If I fool with the channel buttons/volume buttons long enough the screen actually starts changing colors....no lines...and not solid colors but faded colors across the screen. The screen would generally get darker and then change to another color or go back to the black. Not sure what setting the computer was on before being turned off earlier in the day...probably PC...as my wife uses the TV as a monitor. If I had to guess, the volume probably works just fine but I am not 100% certain on this. The TV even turned off a couple of times by itself. I pulled off the back of the TV and nothing looked out of place. The capacitors looked fine....no bulging or busted caps...no loose wires either as far as I could see. I wiggled the wire connected to the t-con board and the display stayed the same. There is a humming (very faint) coming from the t-con board and it seems warmer around this area (maybe I'm crazy). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I have been looking at forums for hours now. It would be great if I could save a little on doing the repair myself. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Sincerely, Daniel

Hard to help without showing us any pictures of the whole back side of the TV, the boards, the screen shot of the screen to show us what is showing on the screen, we do not have the TV in front of us to look at, may be that is why you are not getting any reply.

Replace the TCon PCB and the video PCB for vertical problems on a Samsung LN32B360C5DXZA and the TV is still giving the same problems. Is there a Factory reset for this set.
