Board History:
Replaced the DC Jack because the original part had a broken pin
the laptop booted up
battery was maybe 7% or so
showed plugged in and charging but battery ran out and then stayed at 0%
it shut off suddenly
rebooted a few times but shut off quicker each time
now it was not booting or showing any lights or anything
then i tried holding down the power button for a minute - worked but soon died
took out the dc jack - looked fine so i reinstalled it
noticed a cap that was sticking up on one side - somehow it broke off and fell
cant find it, it's gone, no chance at finding it.
i do know that it was VISUALLY the same as the cap directly below it.
what is the chance that they were the same values?
(they are both attached to the same L44? components)
i cant locate any schematics or board views.
i have capacitance capable multi-meter.
how can i find the value of the missing cap? without having a 2nd board?
does anyone know what the value might be?
i circled the spot in red - the image is my actual board
thanks for any response in advance!
