I'm new to electronics, but I've wanted to get into since the 80's, but info wasn't as free flowing back then as it is today with the internet and sites like BadCaps. I've started tinkering with 2 Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 TI Gaming OCs and a Zotac Geforce RTX 3080 TI Trinity. It'svery rough in the begining when you've never messed with electronics! But sites like this and folks like Tony with NorthWestRepairs, make learning and testing a lot easier than flying in completely blind. Hopefully I can make a hobby out of something I've wanted to do since the 80's!Leave a comment:

I'm 100% new to anything electronics related and I am trying to learn it as a hobby. I was an electrician for about 10 years, but electronics is something I was always interested in, but didn't know how to get into it. The 80's didn't have internet like today! I purchased 2 used broken 3080 Ti's. A Zotac and a Gigabyte. I decided just to jump in feet first and figure it out as I go. The PCB for the Gigabyte is greek to me right now, but I have verified voltages except PEX and memory fall off about 10 seconds after turning the PC on. All other voltages remain. ChatGPT mentioned this site to me...Leave a comment:
