I re-capped my Dell Inspiron 9200 today and it went 'OK' I guess.. I had no problems getting the old ones out, but I did have a bit of a time with clearing the holes. I have soldered before, but not very much so I was not expecting the computer to even work by the time I was done! Got the new caps in even though my soldering was not the most beautiful but she booted right up! I really have no faith in my soldering abilities, but something must have gone right or I am pretty sure she would not have even started up. I didn't see any MCZ's on the board.. Maybe I should take another look. All I saw were the KZG's (the 3300's) and the 2200's say KZJ on them. Are there others I should be looking for?...

Like the title states I was given a "broken" Dell XPS 410 (9200) because it just randomly would stop working. I figured I was just going to use it for parts since it was still completely intact and pretty well loaded for a "freebie". Brought it home and decided to clean it up instead because it was PACKED full of dust and pet hair. Spent a few hours cleaning, put it back together and BOOM.. it booted right up!
