AMD RX 6800 XT no GFX and SOC voltage
Hello, I have one AMD RX 6800 XT and one RX 6700 XT with very similar problem. Both have no GFX and SOC voltage. But lets start with the 6800.
I have experience in electrical engineering and measuring instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, laboratory power supplies, thermal imaging cameras but I just can't get anywhere here.
Let's start with the 6800 XT:
- no visible damage
- No short circuits
- VMEM - 1.35V
- VMEM Controller - 0.89V
- 5V0 - 5.02V
- 0V75 - 0.74V
- 3V3 - 3.27V
- 1V8 - 1.80V
- VDDCR GFX - 0.0V...

I managed to flash the Bios in system without removing the chip but the key was to feed external 3V3 (ch341B with test clip). Even though the circuit only draws 40 mA the 3V3 oscillate violently, so simply feed the 3V3 externally and you are good to go.
I would also like to thank all the helpers from this forum. This enabled me to save my laptop myself after a failed BIOS update. I love fixing things and this forum is a gold mine. Keep it up, you're great.😍...
