Alfredposadas09,
Hello,
I think first of all you should check 1.8 - power supply to GPU mem. If there is no short circuit, then try to check through MATS, for example test on 20 mb memory If there will be many errors on all memory channels, then GPU is dead.

ACER Nitro 5 AN515-55-774Z errors in mats
ACER Nitro 5 AN515-55-774Z ((FH52M LA-J891P REV.1))
Intel Core i7-10750H
RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6
There was a short circuit on the video memory power supply. Replaced all memory with new memory. The short circuit is gone.
Now the laptop turns on and works. But heats up a lot. Turned on with external cooling. In Windows the video card is detected but after installing the correct drivers it gives error 43.
In MATS test on 5mb writes a lot of errors on all memory channels on the record. (Attached report)
When testing on 2mb of memory built into gpu... -
ACER Nitro 5 AN515-55-774Z ((FH52M LA-J891P REV.1) - GPU memory short circuit
Hello,
ACER Nitro 5 AN515-55-774Z ((FH52M LA-J891P REV.1)
Intel Core i7-10750H
RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6
Turned off during normal operation and never turned on again.
After disassembling and connecting to the power supply PLW3 burned out.
Resistances on all chokes are within normal limits except PLW1 and PLW2 (about 0.5 ohms) - powering the video memory.
I am new to repair( Advise what to do next to find the short circuit and fix it.
Or if burned GPU then how to disconnect GPU and use without it.
If there is anything else that needs to be measured,...2 PhotosLast edited by SMDFlea; 12-30-2023, 01:14 PM. -

Re: Acer Nitro 5 motherboard no power (FH52M LA-J891P)
Good afternoon, I have a laptop Acer Nitro AN515-55-774Z with FM52M LA-J891P Rev 1A. My laptop just turned off and won't turn on again. After applying voltage it simply does not respond. Resistor PRB4 was about 0 volts. I unsoldered the PRB7 resistor to see the changes (picture001.jpg), but after a while PLW3 burned out (picture002). Please tell me what to do.
Thank you....Leave a comment:
