I’m having a similar issue with the MS-15CK1 motherboard and I’m stuck at the moment.
The battery seems to charge properly — I measure 16V at the battery terminals when it’s connected, and about 1.6V when it’s disconnected (not sure if that’s normal). The charging LED does turn on, but the laptop won’t power on at all.
On the RT6585BGQW controller, I’m getting the following voltages:
- VIN: 20V
- LDO3: 3.3V
- LDO5: 5V
- BOOT1: 4.5V
- BOOT2: 4.5V
I haven’t found any shorts on the chip or elsewhere on the board.
