Hello,
I have checked the pcie Lane in diode mode and the first data lane is showing 0v.
Someone said that covering it with a tape would redirect the data to others lanes, the card should run fine on x8 pcie i think.
Also someone said I could rewire 1st data lane to the last one, other data lanes give normal voltage.
The graphic card got every voltage, 12v, 5v, 1.5v, 0.8v.
The graphic card is not detected, the gpu heats up and the fans spins normally.

Re: ASUS DUAL RTX 2060 MINI - short on 12V
One mosfet was shorted, will get new one. So there is some chance that it will work again.

Re: ASUS DUAL RTX 2060 MINI - short on 12V
I did a voltage injection and one memory is getting hot, will remove it and see if the short is gone.
After removing the ram, the GPU is getting hot. So I think the GPU is dead....Last edited by siedlik; 08-14-2022, 10:41 AM.

ASUS DUAL RTX 2060 MINI - short on 12V
Hello,
Looks like I got short on a 12V, not sure how to pinpoint the short exactly.
PCIe pins have no shorts, so GPU could be fine.
At the back of the board
PEX_VDD - 10 om
MEM - 1 om
I think I will have to get a desk power supply to inject the voltage I think, or maybe there is another way ?
Also, I just had a look at a board view from MSI card and maybe the module that is responsible for 0.6v and 1V8 is making a short.
If any of you have an idea, it would be appreciated....

Asus Dual RTX 2060 O6G Mini
Hello,
I'm looking for Asus Dual RTX 2060 O6G Mini, trying to trace the 12v short.
Someone said that GTX 1660 got the same layout.
Thanks

Re: Alienware aw2721d - Screen flickering - Fixed
I bought it from eBay, so don't know what they did.
But after spending a few hours, reconnecting everything and a bit of cleaning, the monitor works now.
1440p, 120fps and G Sync looks amazing. Waiting for display port cable to test 240hz.
I was ready to replace caps and fuses

Alienware aw2721d - Screen flickering
Hello,
I got the issue with an Alienware aw2721d, every 2-3 sec the screen is flickering/going black. I have tried to change the resolution and refresh rate, didnt help. Also unplugged the HDMI and the screen was still flickering. So I hope it's just a power supply issue.
I have removed the boards to check for bad caps and something maybe unusual.
I have checked the big cap - Lelon 450v 100uF and when I checked it, it shows 91uF. Is that in range ? When power supply connected, the cap goes to max 370 and discharges very quickly, is that good ?

Re: Asus strix rtx 2070 oc 8gb black screen and no detect
I got a Palit rtx 2070, and I got the same issue. I did the mats test and its a pass.
I have undercloked the GPU by 100MHz, and I have played games without any issues for hours. But when I closed the game, the screen went black and had to restart the PC.
It happens at around 60 degree. I also got artefacts with that "XD" things, when running stock clock.
So maybe at 60 degree the solder connections are getting bad, or bad memory or something.
Will keep you updated.
