Hello, looking for schematics for the above model. I believe they use the same board but the Vostro 3530 is LA-M368p I believe.
Thank you...

Dell Inspiron 7501 / Vostro 7500 (2020) - eDP connector pinout/panel compatibility question
Hello. I have an Inspiron 7501 here, it's the same as a Vostro 7500 in some markets (no clue). I was looking to replace the LCD, the panels included with these models are terrible.
I have the schematic and it is a 4 lane eDP port on the board but the pinout seems quite weird, my question is if anyone recognises this weird pinout and knows of any other Dell models that may use it or even any compatible panel models. I have the 40-40pin cable that was used for the models with touch but do not need touch capability, was just looking for a better quality screen and higher refresh to actually...

Outstanding! thank you, this worked.
I know how you got it so quickly as well, I had considered that method but every person I spoke to about it assured me the password was stored in EC on this model! A little annoyed by that... should have come here first!
Thank you....

Wow, how were you able to do this? I was under impression the password is stored in EC.
I would appreciate it greatly if you could take a look at my Y540 15IRH dump, others have done so and concluded that the fix is more complex. Has BIOS administrator password applied (boots into Windows, just cannot configure BIOS) and previous owner has forgotten it, much to my frustration.
S/N: PF1X715
Board: NM-C221 Rev 2.0
Can provide any other details if necessary...

Hello. I have a Legion Y540 15IRH with BIOS locked with administrator password (machine boots, just no BIOS setup possible) and previous owner has forgotten what it is. Have been looking for solutions and not coming up with much, have dumped the BIOS and the machine uses ITE ec similar to Thinkpad and Ideapad models.
Are there any good options?

Inspiron 7501 / Vostro 7500 - BIOS Version 1.23 anybody?
Hello. Made the mistake of upgrading the BIOS on an Inspiron 7501 (also known as Vostro 7500 - same laptop) and finding Dell do not let you downgrade easily now. You can however go back one version at a time but unfortunately BIOS version 1.23 is not on their website and appears to have been deleted so I am stuck. I have every other version necessary but 1.23 is missing.
Just thought I'd check to see if anyone has it saved, you never know.
The installation file would be called "Inspiron_7500_7501_Vostro_7500_1.23.0.exe"

I've bought used everything aside from hard drives and SSDs. I'm npt entirely sure why exactly but it's probably because I know these are essentially wear items with a finite life, I'd rather just spend more to get the maximum amount of time from them.
I also buy used laptops because I like high specifications and can rarely afford these new, used is pretty much my only option but I like to think I know what I'm looking at. I'm sure I'll get burned one day but it hasn't happened yet, every 4-5 years I'll buy a new high spec laptop that is a couple of years old at most and it has always...
