Re: What is a good de-soldiering iron/tool?
After reading the desoldering forums, I do want to step up to an easier way to desolder than a squeeze bulb or spring method. It looks like a really good and affordable one, is the Aoyue 474A++ Digital Desoldering Station. It is around 200 so I hope it good. I read some reviews that it works OK on motherboards but I was not so sure. This is my main use right now. Anyone use this one???...

Just Introducing myself. I am a OLD! techie. Back to the Commodore64 and First Apples and the Sinclair was my first PC. Been building and repairing circuits for years. Remember Radio Shack when they sold cool projects. Education and Jobs all In the PC and Electronics world. The Job Front-Hard to stay in brick and mortar world, now working fully in the virtual-at home support world. Does not pay as well but OK. My Hobby is building and modifying PCs and tinkering with electronics. Well Just HI everyone.

I like the Panasonic (panny) FJ series. I searched and found the 2002 datasheet. I am using 820uf and 1000uf to fix several motherboards. I test the esr and they are in spec. If they are old they are still in spec. Not sure about the Manufacture Date but It looks like they are still made and sold in bulk. Found them on alibaba. Wish I could find a newer datasheet. Old data sheet is at...
