Just received one like this, the power led is working (the laptop turn ON pressing power button or jumpering 1-2 on the keyboard connector.. .BUT DOESN'T TURN OFF)
the battery is charging correctly
the obsorbtion (without battery is 10 mA .. turned OFF and same 10mA with power led lighted)
only 5V and 3V on the 2 power supply, and 1 V on chipset
no voltages on System-agent, phases of CPU and RAM..
the EC is not shorted, the LID sensor is working.
the customer says that stopped working without any cause (water, dropped, sparkles...) the morning...

Somethign appeared to me today, same notebook... the 3 vcore coils are hot (well... 55 degree) ... 1.7V (same as [B][URL="https://www.badcaps.net/member/53268-robgerr"]robgerr[/URL][/B] )
the heatsink become very hot without any image on the display (no backlight)
i decided to make an UMA conversion ( 2 coils on the AMD gpu , and 4 restitors to move on the opposite side of the board)
started removing the 2 coils (resistors notr touched)
the power comsuption changed from 1.4A to 0.55A
the CPU is COLD ... i was assuming all the heat...Leave a comment:

OMG! it's working, the board was coming from Aliexpress... and they probably placed an eeprom from another board with a different address?
how is possible? i was thinking the eeprom can have DMI everywhere and everything was managed from the code inside bios... there is probably somthing on EC that can determine the DMI location?...Leave a comment:

stuck on ubuntu uefi voice for startup, every linux boot is freezing with a cursor on a top left of screen.

Hi Peste, i have the manual and i readed/programmed also some Asrock/Asus bios chips with success... the only thing i can't understand is if these dumps (posted here) needs the (OTP) selection (on eprom type) ... just asking if someone that own this programmer can explain how to re-flash these dumps, just to be sure that i'm doing everyhting in the right mode....Leave a comment:

Hi friends, i have this laptop ( rev G ) i see on youtube that for 2 long beep and 2 short beeps it's necessary to reflash the BIOS eprom.
the eprom name is Winbond 25q128fvsq
i have 2 programmer CH341 (GOLD type) .. and a new TL866II PLUS...
i think thatthe TL866II PLUS is the better to flash the image, but i tried with all these roms (maybe i ve no tried the CLEAN version) , everything seems ok but the laptop just start, the fan is spinning (increasing speed) but there are no beeps.
