Thanks to this thread I was able to find the same kind of issue on a Lenovo 15ITL6 (NM-D471) that was totally power-dead. In my case, PC1002 had gone short, which I found thru injecting power between B+ and ground. Removed it, and presto, bootup like nothing had ever gone wrong!! Thanks all!
