Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Good morning, my name is Erick and I stumbled on your forum as a frustrated consumer looking for help! You see I purchased a 60" LG 60PZ550 4 years ago, shipped it overseas and when it arrived the screen was cracked. I shipped it back to the US hoping that I could exchange it and the store would not do so. So, I have a never before used TV and I was hoping that I may be able to find help here. My hope is that I maybe able to purchase a screen from someone here or that I can send it to you to be fixed, or that you tell me where to go to get it fixed.

Hi. I'm new here. Obviously. I've been working in electronics since I was a small child. My dad was a technician, and I read his correspondence course when I was 7 or 8, then helped him fix TVs and radios every day. I've been working in an aerospce company doing product development for 25 years or so. I'm happy to have found this site. Thanks for accepting my registration.

Hello all. I have joined on the advice of MrReeceyburger123 who has been helping me with a wonderfully crap Vestel TV.

I must admit I'm having fun fixing it but may have to use his repair services if it gets above my skill level.

Hope to get into a few more projects in the years to come. Currently building my own arcade machine and fixing this crappy Vestel for my Dad. Well that's about it from me. Hope to see you all around.

                            Michael.

                              Hi All,

Came across this forum while researching a problem. I have a background in electronics and embedded hardware, but can't say I'm a master of either, though I enjoy them both immensely. I work for frequency converter company and thought this would be a good place to pose some technical questions to better help my customers.

                                    Hi all,
My hobby is trying to reanimate (almost) dead pc's or more recent laptops.
In the past i worked in IT when in wasn't called that.
My electronical skills however needs input from pro's, whom i like to meet here.
Just now i have two mobo's to determine which brought me at this place.
My credo: it's always worth a try.

Hi everybody! My name is Ian and I've been fiddling with computers since 1972, when they were the size of houses and we thought ourselves lucky to have a whole kilobyte of RAM! These days, I run a computer workshop by day, specialising in build and repair of machines for Audio Visual applications, work as a singer/entertainer/dj in the evenings (hence the cryptic username, which is my "dj/producer name"), and then relax in the small hours of the morning by writing computer code! I guess you could say I was a geek before it was trendy. ;-) I'll be honest and say I've joined primarily to get the answer to one specific question, but I will try to be as helpful as I can now I'm here.
