Hi the community !
I'm from Luxembourg, Europe, my main job is re-recording mixer for feature movies and i'm a hobbyist in most electronics & informatic since my very young age (in Europe we had "TANDY" as RadioShack store in the '90).
I was so curious about electronics that I dissasembled most of electronic games when I was a child (Speak&Spell from Texas Instruments, in French this was called "La Dictée Magique"), then my uncle give it to me a Commodore VIC20 with the cassette (played at Chess, Matrix, Bonzo, ...), unscrewed the computer and I saw all the black IC and PCB tracks were like contempory art, then I completely fall in love of this universe. At the age of 10 I was self learning the assembly language to experiment things till I drove a relay to make a little lift made with "Meccanos" in my parent's house and burned a PIA... Elektor was one of my favorite magasine but very complex for my young age. At the age of 12 I spent a lot of time to the library at school when I discovered electronics books. Anyway I always learned from my faults and I'm still continuing today !
At the age of 18 I learned sound on picture at film school but I always loved making my own projects by drawing schematics (Egale, from Cadsoft before they were bought by Autodesk) and make PCB in my garage. Power amplifiers, mixing desk, synthetisers, DIY audio stuffs, helpers on sets to remote control audio recorders, cat-door opener with reading RFID tags, fix my two pinball machines, and so...
But recently, my oldest son had an Acer Predator PC who died when he was watching video on YT, and I was looking for schematics on Google. Then I discovered this amazing forum which is very helpfull, so thank you to the admins and the users to share your knowledge, it's fantastic !!!
I wish you all the best and I hope being helpfull to the community to share my (little) knowledge, as I said, I'm a hobbyist.
