Hi Folks! I currently have Covid...very minor symptoms, fortunately, but I'm isolating from my wife & son, who are testing negative.

For me it's a vacation: I play music and watch videos while my wife brings meals to my door. I also fix things - including the extra TV which has a bad control board, which led me to your forum. I registered so I could see the specs about which caps to replace to get it working. Thanks all for the helpful info!

I'm Megu, joined for some small amount of help. Blown more hardware than I fixed. Trying to fix that statistic now, going thru all the hardware I own and deciding what to do with all the faulty stuff.

I am an IT technician, mostly dealt with computer repair services, but trying to widen my knowledge in electronics and software development.

                    Hello,

Sawn from France. I've recently been donated a few "old" HP laptops and one of them has a BIOS password set.
I'm a GNU/Linux user and want to disable Secure Boot in order to use my favourite distribution : Manjaro (using Fedora 36 with secure boot for the time being).

                    Great community you have there

                                Hello,
My name is Nick and I live in Suffolk, United Kingdom. I'm not new to repair but I still am very inexperienced and always learning. I am a refrigeration and air conditioning engineer by trade and main job, hence the handle, and looking to expand on electronic repair as an ongoing hobby.
