I was given a Vizio 65" TV with a dark area in the lower left of the screen. I verified the voltages on the LED driver board and determined the LED strips have failed in that area. Trouble is, I have never worked on a TV like this. The bottom section on the back is removable to allow access to the power supply, mainboard, T-con, etc. There are no screws for the bezel and I can't find any information on the web showing how to remove it. Does anybody have some idea how to get into this TV? Thanks, Skipper

I think it has a plastic bezel that just carefully pries off.I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post. -

That was the ticket. Bezel snaps into place and just needed a little prying to release all the way around. Thanks for the input again.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.
