    Plasma ooops...

I got the LG plasma working and the image looked good. Unfortunately I wanted to adjust one of the voltage pots (black level) on the ysus without taking the back off.

The screwdriver touched the case and the fuses went on both y and zsus.

After replacing those and feeling mighty stupid I powered the screen on. At first it showed a really messed up image. It looked like windows in 8 bit color. Slowly the image faded away and now there is nothing. No OSD either.

All the voltages are normal, the red LEDs light up on back, no protect mode. On the LVDS, one green led blinks and one stays lit. The rest only turn on at start-up.

    Any ideas.

Next time use a plastic 'diddle stick'.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

Found a dead smd fuse on the video board. I fixed it but still no go. It is off a 2.5v regulator (which works). Would replacing the board fix this?

        OUCH.

Always use a plastic tweaking tool.

Ordered a new video board. Hope it works. It was only $30 bux. I got to use this screen for like 30 minutes before I adjusted it. What a downer.

The IC whose fuse blew was the LGDT4410 IEC.

Toshiba plasma 50WP16 wierd double image fault
              by piershs
My 2001 Toshiba 50WP16 50" plasma TV has, after 20 years of trouble-free service, developed a wierd fault in the last 14 days during normal viewing - with no loud bang or smoke or any other excitement.

Every 15-30 secs the right hand half of the image has a "glitch" for about 1 second before reverting to normal. The glitch has two forms and also depends on the aspect ratio setting (see photos):
              • 16:9 either a) a visible seam between LHS and RHS of impage or b) LHS image duplicated on RHS (photos 16x9)
              • 4x3 either a) no image on RHS or b) RHS image offset by 1/6th
              ...

TV LG 50PA4500 Plasma : bad image noisy
              by Delired73
              Hello everyone,

I have an issue and didn't find any solution by myself or on every forum about my LG plasma TV 50PA4500.

Originaly the TV stopped to work and didn't want to turn ON again.

After visual inspection, few transistors were broken, I tried to change them but some burned again, so I ordered on full new board. So, I changed the Yboard which was burned by a new one

It now turns ON and the image and sound are present. But the image is very noisy and only visible when the room is in the dark.

I check Vs and Va voltages...
