I tried to attach a picture of power supply ,but it will not upload.
I removed a capacitor off a simlar circuit ,it measured 10uF which suprised me .
Pin 2 of the IC seemed to be the supply voltage to the device it was connected to PTH which went nowhere looks like a track inside the PCB is O/C.,I connected pin 2 to pin 2 on the other IC.
Looking at the photo I took of the PSU it looks like the IC is MP1482 ,I could not see this with my eyeglass.
It does look at if it is working ,but I have not fully tested.
It was an absolute pig to work on.
Used to be aTV engineer many years ago .

Hi Barry,
You need to keep your posts attached to your original Post or it becomes very messy and difficult to follow.

If you want to attach pictures you use Go Advanced, then Manage Attachments

Just run the TV up today after sorting out a few thing its working .
Ordered some much smaller capicitors for the power supply which should finish the repair.
Still cannot upload the picture ,it does not like the file type .
I will see if Ican change it .

I dont know i,t is right bodge took a lot of getting off.
I spoke to the owner and she said it had never been repaired before ?
As I said before the caps are far too large ,jammed in and glued down ,if what I was told is correct it was done by the manufacturer.

Definitely remove any of that brown glue on board .

Becomes corrosive & eats through print track .

Have seen bodges like this from cheaply manufactured boards .

Hi yes cleaned up the mess.
Perhaps when the board was made they did not have the proper surface mounted capacitors.
Attached some more pictures .
Got the 12 volts and 5 volts working .
Just need the new caps to come from ebay.
