I reposted as I couldnt get the model # in the title before:
I have a 60" Samsung TV, model #PN60E550D1FXZA, that the picture will freeze, will see strange green small lines, they get somewhat wavy, then the TV restarts itself. It doesn't do it right away but after being on for a little while. I believe it took a hit from a surge through the cable box and HDMI cord. The cable box had to be replaced and that HDMI plug in no longer worked. I got a new cable box and plugged into another HDMI plug and all was well for a few weeks. HDMI cable is fine as I am using on another TV. Then the TV started to act up as described. It also acts the same when using the smart TV feature (netflix, etc.) so I know it isn't isolated to the HDMI inputs.
What do you think is bad and can that piece be replaced (bad main board or?)? I know it is an older TV and I am willing to give it a try to fix. I'll probably get a new TV anyway but would like to keep this one for another room.
All help is appreciated!
