its 1w but they win the light by the lens and the flex collector plastic plate surface shape

do yo have roller with cm as i showed the one i have.... the smallest one used as direct BL are 3030

This is the only ruler I have at hand, but you can see how small they are.

It sure does not look like 1W LED.
What is the LCD panel model number?

Yes, the LEDs are extremely small, and as you said 36 in total for a 49" set doesn't seem a lot.
The 2835 ones you mentioned are bigger in size. They are 3.5mm x 2.8mm

Just my luck to get a set with odd sized LEDs... And a headache of a repair.

Still, I have learned a lot so far, and I am very grateful for all the help and advice I have been given.

maybe your set are different..
be sure of the size. 1.4mm no such BL LED and you have 49 screen with only 36 LED in total

This is the size of the LEDs
Hope you can see from the scale which is 0.1mm divisions.

You need to get the LED with correct current handling and the forward Voltage too.

Sorry guys, I don't have the correct size of LEDs to replace the ones which are blown.
I will order them today if I can find the correct size.
They are 1.4mm x 1.4mm

Thanks to everyone who took the time to share their knowledge, and assist me in this repair thus far.

I will let you know as soon as I get these LEDs replaced, and I can continue this repair.

So what do you have for BL-ERR? OP reported as '8- BL-ERR-------------- 2.386v'.

the set under my hand had no BL err.
OP reading
LED+ 93.4v - 95.3v
LED- 13.8v - 15.3v
they are correct at STB MODE

yours Luck i got today Sony 49XD series Android, P.SU same to yours. it had bad signal.. i order for it Tuner Board.

i compared it for you, so you can use it as references with this set

1- LED BL in STB are same you have, when TV turn on they GO High 158V then down to 107v - on chassis and + on the LED socket + , of course the 107V it depend on the setting of BL it may more or less

2- as those Sony doesn't have power switch, also when it plugged at wall socket the White LED start on while the android starting. and it goes to last state. mean if the TV was in STB and took out from wall socket. it will start the android and then goes to STB state where the white LED will be remain OFF. BL Sockets read as yours.

from this points if there are no any fault with LED BL or sockets. then just replace the MB.

I've removed all plugs and sockets from the LED strips.
Now some of the individual LEDs aren't working.
I will replace these blown LEDs and report back a.s.a.p
