Samsung UN55KU6290FXZA. Snow. Otherwise unresponsive.

Samsung UN55KU6190FXZA. Powers on, Smarttv logo flashes, then black/white snow. No sound, no response to remote or on-set toggle so no access to menus for set-up. Repair kit is on the way. I'd like to troubleshoot parts one at a time but afraid an existing power board problem will damage new main board. Appreciate any input on original problem or repair procedure. Thanks.

What is the nature of the 'existing power board problem?'

Theoretical. I just don't know if main board went bad on its own or if something triggered it. Not sure if replacing all boards will fix TV.

I think you just have a Main Bd. problem and a good working replacement should fix your issue. Without voltage test reading I can't be certain about your PSU but I believe you don't have a problem there.

Thanks. First time taking TV apart. Can't find thread with same problem. Hopeful. Not sure I could get to T-Con. The logo is clear for the half second it's on and snow seems bright and uniform so don't think it's the panel or backlight. Appreciate your help and time.
