    Vestel 17Mb82S accessing service menu

Good day folks. I'd like a bit of help with Hitachi TV with a 17MB82s Vestel board in it. When I got it, the LED at the front would blink and nothing else....classic software issue. First, I tried the USB method, which up to this point has always fixed these particular 17MB82 boards, so I plugged in the USB thumb drive containing the upgrade file (which I'm posting below just in case anyone wants it), plugged the set in while holding OK on the remote, the little red LED began flashing and doing its thing, indicating it's pulling something off the thumb drive and then....nothing: it went back to the same blinking routine as earlier.

I then knew I had to go deeper than that and program the two chips directly: there's a 24c64 and a 24c16 on there, labeled as Q10 and Q12...I couldn't find the dumps for this exact model, even after long searches, but with the help of a local community, someone gave me the dumps for this board and matching panel but for a different TV...I think "Technika" or something like that (also included down below). I used two new 24c chips and programmed them, wanting to eliminate the possibility of faulty chips, which is what I always do...the TV came on, everything worked perfectly except for one thing: now there's only one HDMI input available in the source list...apparently the Technicka TV that these dumps came from only had one input....this one has two. I tried going into the service menu thinking perhaps I can somehow enable them, but even though the options are there, I can't modify them - they're read-only...why would you bother to include a service menu if you can't even change anything ?! Is it like with Samsung where you have to have a service remote with a special button to unlock them, or is there really no way to get that other HDMI going other than to SOMEHOW find the exact dumps for this model ? Any thoughts ? Cheers and thanks.

I had a similar issue and I fixed it by flashing another firmware.
