Hi guys I got this Toshiba LV833G here stuck in standby
PSU looks OK, Caps look OK
When I power up I get a Red LED lit up on the TV.
I get +5V supply. After a few seconds I get 2.5V on PS_ON and then I get + 12V and +24V. These stay present for 5 seconds or so then PS_ON goes low and the 12V and 24V go off leaving just 5V supply
Pressing the Power On button or using the remote I can't get PS_ON to go high again.
I never see a voltage on INV_ON_OFF or BD_PS_ON (option) or BRIGHT_ADJ
I tried unplugging the 24V supply lead to the inverter board it doesn't make any difference.
I was thinking if I apply 2.5V to PS_ON and INV_ON_OFF with my bench supply (I can isolate these connections from the main board) then maybe the back lights will power up and I can check if the PSU is OK?
Would I need to put a signal on BRIGHT_ADJ and BD_PS_ON (option) as well if I wanted to try that?
Or maybe this is a known main board issue? I couldn't find this model when googling but it appears other Toshiba models have a main bard problem that can cause these symptoms
TIA
Rich
Thanks
Rich
