Hello everyone,
I am a newbie to this forumn trying to figure out the issue with my plasma tv. Okay..here we go..tv set has the constant clicking when trying to power on.
I have disconnected both x and y boards, and tv set still wont power up.I took readings at CN 801 and CN802...voltages are correct.Took readings at my VS and VA test points and voltages are nill to none.( suppose to have 50 for one and 210 for another). Am I looking at a bad SMPS board?

Did you take readings of VA,VS when you pressed power button?

Took the readings after I had pushed the power on button.

Need to check voltage while pushing power button to see if they briefly come up.

Good morning,
I checked my VS and VA Voltages upon startup, and yes they are there , then they slowly drop off to 0 volts.

Need some pictures. I would say power supply is good. Maybe bad buffer board. Others are much better on plasmas than I am.

1st thing I usually do is remove both upper and lower buffer from the y main, Then power up and see if voltages stay up on VS. It's OK to leave the ribbon cables connected to the buffers, Just disconnect them and remove them away from the y main

Freakaftr8,
Will try that troubleshooting tip and get back with ya on what I find out.
Hopefully this will give me a answer.
