I just got one of these TVs and R850 measures > 1M ohm in circuit. All fuses check good.
So I'm going to replace R850 and the two relays and double check all the reported problematic transistors and mosfets.
Quick question, I only have 22 ohm 5W resistors in the house.
Can I use that in place of the 1.8ohm 5W resistor for a quick test to make sure the screen isn't damaged? It's not my TV and I would hate to order parts, pay $8 handling + shipping, just to see that the screen is cracked.
I'm not sure if increasing the resistance by a factor of 10 in this circuit if enough to stop it from working or not.
If V=IR, increasing R by 10 imples I drops by 10 if V stays the same. Of course, I don't know how the circuit works and what part R850 plays in the overall resistance.
