Samsung plasma pn60f5500 -- 5 blinks-- bad panel ??

Hello guys.

I need help with this TV (SAMSUNG PLASMA PN60F5500) that was hit by a lightning storm.

It was dead so I started checking the SMPS which works pefectly (5.2V. 15V,
VA and VS are ok tested with 220V lamps).

Next replaced the mainboard with no luck. (have another working plasma with the same mainboard so no need to order one)

There is no VS or VA when I attach the Y and X boards to the power supply.

Just got 5 blinks in the LEd of the mainboard .

Checked both boards Y-main and X-main for shorts or damaged components and found none.

Disconnected Y-main from the buffers and X-main from the panel and same thing, no VS.

Even disconnecting both boards (Y-X) from the PS, there is no VS just the 5 blinks in the mainboard LED.

I know the mainboard is good because it works fine in the other TV.

Got stuck there. The only thing I can think about is a bad panel... could it get damaged for the storm ? Even the power supply survived so I don't think so...

Any help will be much appreciated !!

Just as a feedback for those having the same problem: yes it was a bad panel.... (R.I.P.)
