Hello does anyone know how to turn off the child lock on this model tv, it's only a year old

The user guide may give you the answer. There does appear to be a master password.

Hello, no,no luck as yet, the manuel doesn't tell you how to get into the service menu. Which I think may be the only way seeing as it's locked and the passcode lost

Did you try the following taken from the user guide

System Lock

I have changed the password on the television and now forgotten it

There is a master password of 4711, to gain access to the TV menu and reset the normal password
