    Sanyo dp50747 samsung internals

I have a dp50747 based on samsung boards.
Turn on screen it lit up no sound or video shuts off after 15-20sec led doesn't come on or flash on psu.

Disconnect main jumper self test tv comes on get white screen green screen then shuts off. No flashing on psu led.
Disconnect all from psu jumper pson and vson power supply stays on until i unplug. All voltages are present except a12v/ac-det is 2.62v on connector in picture. All fuses are good. At a loss where to test from here.

    Try running the self test.

If that doesn't work check the 5 fuses.

Disconnect main ran self test stays on goes thru test no problem.
Reconnect main test all protection fault according to manual. On ic1630 pin gets 12v in but pin 2 out is 1v. Would just that ic be issue or could something be pulling pin 2 output down. Supposed be 5v out.

Normally when it passes the self test it indicates a mainboard fault but wait and see what others think.

Sorry but IC1630 means nothing to me not having the service manual. However some pictures and device part number may prove helpful.

Ic1630 is part of protection fault according to manual. Here are some pics. 12v in only 1v out. Part number is 1zc41h. Could I just supply pin 2 with 5volt to see if that makes it work then change out ic?

              Re: Sanyo dp50747 samsung internals

As you say the output voltage (pin2) should be 5V with an input voltage (pin1) of 12V and pin4 should measure 1.26V

Do a diode check on both D1630 & D1631 with your meter set to diode mode.

What is the resistance between pins 2 and pin 3 on ohms range?

Pin 2 and 3 were short. I did supply pin 2 side of d1630 with 5v and lifted pin 2 leg of ic1630. Tv function 5v stays steady on that diode 5.12v on all inputs. Picture is good no noisey boards. Been running non stop since last nite. Will order that ic and replace.

Haven't replaced ic yet but my band-aid solution tv still going strong

                      Re: Sanyo dp50747 samsung internals

I noticed how all of the output capacitors on the PSU look like they are all Samxon GF caps.

Samxon's GF line of capacitors is known to be a bad line of caps.

I'm just saying because it probably a good idea to swap them out with something else.
I'm not a expert, I'm just doing my best.
