Samsung T4234 discharge before repair.

Hello all, just picked a Samsung HP-T4234 up off the side of the road with apparently a very common problem (clicking noise but does not power on). I have read about several things to look at on the power board (caps, loose solder joints, etc) but I am just not sure what needs to be discharged, if anything, to start working on it?

I have read some say just unplug for a few minutes but other say to discharge so I am just looking for some accurate advice please. Thanks in advance.

Badcaps is common on Psu and Ysus, also leave unplugged for a min or two.

So just leave unplugged for a few and I am good? No discharge needed?

Yes it has bleed resistors to discharge the caps.

The board is pretty fried, anyone order from buyqual before, will thier board be ok?

Fried how ? Why not give it a go at repairing it ?
