Samsung ua40f5590am blinking led 5 time and not turn on.
i disconnected main power cable to main board and back light working fine.
some times tv turn on normaly and after 20 sec gone to standbay and led blinking 5 tims.............

powerboard part number:bn44-00645a
mainboard part number:bn41-01958

please help me.

Measure the DC voltages on CM803 while the set is in blink mode
PS_ON =
ECU =
BLU =
etc

Looks like the BL_ON signal is being switched off when connected to the main board.

How long do the back lights stay on when the power supply is disconnected. Do they go off after a set period as above, 20 seconds or more?

I'm wondering if one of your leds are failing. The other test is take the back lights down to a low level and see what effect this has.

mainboard schematics are very hard to find some/most you cant get at all i would try to source a replacement mainboard as i doubt a eeprom/spi flash chip dump will solve this issue.

did you reflow the main ic this seems quite common on these samsungs not sure if you could add a fan/heat sink too it to make the repair last longer
