TOSHIBA 32AV500U, inverters replaced, now dims and flutters

    Hello all!

I had no backlight on this and decided to just replace both inverter boards. I used a part number HIU-813-M and HIU-813-S and it seemed to work just fine, so I put the TV back together. Now the sad part:

I noticed that the backlights would dim every once in a while (almost seemed to coincide with scene changes in the video?) and then sometimes the backlights would flutter (almost flashing, but not going out, just dimming and undimming rapidly.

So, now I come here for help. I haven't taken the TV back apart yet, I was hoping to wait until I have another free cart to lay it on and see if anyone here has had any issues like this.

Here is a link to a previous thread with good pictures in it of this model (pics are halfway down in thread).

Is Dynalight set to On and if switched to Off does it help?
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, it was set to ON and turning it OFF seems to have remedied the issue! Thank you! I hope it doesn't start again, but for now it seems to be fine. The Dynalight feature must be defective for the TV to strobe so severely when it's ON. Strange.

I'm glad you have a fix even if not a permanent fix.
I've read about the auto backlight feature causing problems when reading through other threads on this site which is why I made the suggestion.
