    Samsung LN40A530P1F Blinking Red LED

I posted this in another similar thread but it didn't get any traction so I thought I should make my own thread.

I've got a blinking red LED on the front panel. Sometimes the TV will come on and stay on but if I turn it off then it doesn't come back on again. All it does is blink.

I've replaced the usual caps on the P/S and that didn't change anything. They didn't look bad but I thought it was a go to. Then I found this thread and started playing with the main board.

I've replaced C102 on the back and C131 on the front with 47uF Tantalum caps but not surface mount. See pics!

    Anyhow that didn't fix it.

I also re-soldered the legs of IC101 and that didn't fix it either.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

But the TV does work sometimes. Would that suggest that sometimes it can't read the firmware? Possible cold solder joint from firmware chip to the PCB? I don't even know what chip holds the firmware.
