Toshiba tv issue

Hi everyone.
I am looking into repairing my Toshiba 40kv700b lcd tv
I'm not in the trade but have basic knowledge of repairing things as I think to much stuff goes to land fills these days. The issue I have is the TV quite recently started switching itself on during the night so we started switching it off at the wall.1 week later it won't come on at all other email than the standby led blinks on and off.
I've tried leaving it switch off at the wall and holding the power button in to drain any remaining or static electricity from the board. Any suggestions would be great full.

some tvs have a auto update feature that updates the tv in the early hours i had a toshiba that used too do this see page 21 of the user manual (you can turn this option too off i did)

this maybe a eeprom/spi flash issue can you have a look and take some pictures of the boards used in this tv also please post the board numbers used in this set many thanks.

Known Tosh issue--With Genuine Tosh sets--Not the vestel crap they rebadge now and from a few years ago.

Go into settings, select Factory reset, and let set re-boot

Then go back into settings and select 'Auto-Update' and turn this feature off.

Can cause all sorts of weirdness the auto-update feature....
