Samsung ps43d450 and samsung ps43e450

I currently have the samsung ps43d450
I am offerd the ps43e450, with a smashed screen for £20, was bought december 2012 and smashed febuary 2013.

Am I correct in thinking I can take the boards from the E model and put them in my D model?

as going from my other thread Here
I am having a few problems and think the tele is on the way out.

Anyways from what I have looked at, the D was 2011 and e 2012 surely nothing changed?

Yes they are interchangeable, but if they tried to turn it on when its smashed its probably killed the boards. A smashed PDP can cause the boards to blow as the electrodes in the panel short which kills the buffer which on these can then kill the Ymain and Xmain if they tried to turn the Tv on afterwards.

So I can still try tho? is there anything I can do to determain before taring both teles apart?

in what % would you say the boards would of blown?

You can check them for S/C to be sure if not, just stick them in your D450 only thing that can happen is one will smoke or the Tv wont come one. But DO NOT use your original boards just incase you dont want them blowing out.

its worth the chance aint it, im just sold on the age and how many hours will of been on. im going to get it tommorow. and have a go see what happens

Age of the circuitry has little relevance to the image quality....

That is down purely to the Plasma-panel age.

So, IF the panel is producing a crap image due to old age--It'll still produce a crap image no matter what boards are driving it.
